LONDON: Olympic Torch

Minulé úterý, 31.7.2012, procházela olympijská pochodeň Ealingem. A protože to byla velká událost a hlavně se konala tři ulice od domu, kde bydlím, rozhodla jsem se, že se tam půjdu podívat. Je to jedna z věcí, které člověk chce vidět, i když ho třeba olympijské hry ani tolik extra nezajímají. Jde o tu atmosféru a zážitek :) Bylo tam vážně hodně lidí, ale stálo to za to. Oni si tu pochodeň různě předávali, takže na rohu stál člověk s nezapálenou pochodní, který ji měl pak zanést do Walpole parku, kde pak byla celovečerní akce a člověk na to musel mít vstupenky. Pochodeň kolem mě proběhla strašně rychle, že jsem ji zblízka nestihla vyfotit, ale vyfotila jsem si ji aspoň z dálky. Byla to velká událost :)

last Tuesday, 31st of July 2012, the olympic torch was coming to Ealing. And because that was a big event and the torch was coming through a street that was 300m from my house, I decided to go to see it. It's one of those things one has to see when it's easily accessible even if one isn't especially interested in the whole event. It's about the atmophere and experience. There were so many people but it was worth it. The people were passing the fire one to another so one was waiting with a torch without a fire for another person to come with the fire :D and then the person went to Walpole park where was a big event because of it. But one had to have tickets to get there. The torch passed me really quickly so I didn't get to take a close picture of it but I have one of the crowd and the torch :) it was great to see the enthusiastic and happy crowd of people there :)
